Dear Marty, I have been impressed by you since week #1. You are an incredibly talented performer-- a true artist. But after seeing INXS perform last week, it was even worse than I predicted. Marty, let me assure you, you do not want to win this competition. To win will be to lose. The band INXS died long before Michael and the guys that are left just don't pull off the aging rocker in any stretch of the imagination. Not only do they look ridiculous playing, they don't even sound good-- the house band sounds 10x better! I'm not trying to be mean just, sadly, honest. You will go far, but not fronting this band. Marty, I am very impressed w/ your amazing musical abilities. Your original song trees, blew everyones song out. That was absolutely one of the best songs I have heard in a long time. I loved it so much, I went on the net, bought it, downloaded it, and I play it all the time.

Marty, I hope tyou read this, because I'm doing this for my 4 year old daughter. She loves your song "Trees." My husband recorded your first performance of that song for me while I was at work. THANK GOODNESS!!! I loved it! My daughter loves it so much that we have to watch it at least twice a day. She knows all the words to it and even "screams" the yeah part like you. (She also working on the pose, but that's not coming along too well.) Anyhow, good luck to the most creative artist in the competition!! Wow!! I am 39 years old, and I haven't been this excited about music since high school. I think the last album I purchased was jagged little pill, and I find myself paying for downloads of all of marty's songs. I made a cd of the downloads and brought it to a party this weekend and we listened to Marty all night. Regardless of how the voting goes, I will be first in line to pay money for anything Marty sings. I started watching Rock star INXS because I am an INXS fan, but now I watch because I am a Marty Casey fan. I think the other 3 finalists are great too, but Marty is the one I want to watch over and over.
Amazing job on Creep. I think it is better than the original.

Wow!!! Trees! Lets just say I have had that song stuck in my head since the debut. I Love it! The day it comes out as a single I am at the store in line to get it. Also I love watching you perform, if you win and you should, please come to Dallas! I will definitely pay to see you. Marty, I wanted to tell you that I loved your original song "Trees" and also wanted to let you know that I love your voice and I admire your talent.

If you don't win this competition I will still look for a cd to come out and if you do win try to get the guys to play in Seattle or Tacoma, Washington ;)

I have a question for you as well, I am learning to play electic guitar, my dad bought me an Ibanez GAX70 for Christmas. Sometimes i'll be sitting at school, and lyrics and a melody will pop into my head, I can get the lyrics down but I can never figure out how to write down the melody or the music that I hear in my head with it. Do you have any advice that could help me with my song writing? If you do I would be so grateful if you would share it with me.

By the way, Ignore the Nascar/Redneck people. I give you that advice because sometimes even though I tell myself that about someone I dislike or someone that makes me mad I can't follow my own advice. It takes someone else to tell me before I listen. I posted on their blog as well telling them how I think they're immature.
