    September 7th

    Elimination day
We opened up with the world premiere of "Us" with INXS.  This is the first time the full band of INXS has performed on this stage.  I liked that they played so loud.  The song went over really well and the crowd seemed to enjoy the sentiment.  I am impressed by INXS’ willingness to help out with the Natural Disaster in the south.  The bottom 3 were called out and I was so happy to be in the clear this week. This week Jordis, J.D. & Suzie were singing for survival.  Jordis was told she was not right for INXS and I was bummed.  More than anyone else here, her and I connected the most musically.  I learned a lot from her. Jordis' presence will be really missed around this house.  The dynamic is entirely changed and it always takes a day to settle into the new vibe.  MiG was also bummed to see Jordis leave.  Suzie was surprised and happy to be the last woman standing.  J.D. has been soaking in the attention of being in the final four and hasn’t stopped talking for several hours.  The rest of us can barely get a word in.  I can see how excited he is to make it out of the bottom 3.  In honor of Jordis we watched sunset from her favorite spot, by the basketball court.

Hey Marty you are great and I luv ya man! I hafta tell ya I'm leaning a bit more towards J.D. and the truth is cause he's more my type in looks dept.but besides that I think you have an amazing talent & poise and show true love and professionalism in everything you've done it's very admirable how you helped the girls in the mansion w/ thier music, your a real sweety but your intensity is what makes you sexy. I could definately see you as the front man for INXS & would definately not be disappointed. This comment was intended to show you that sometimes looks can prevail over talent and this in no way means I think J.D. is less talented because to me he is as equally talented & captavating. I just happen to have a blonde haired, blued eyed brother named Marty and I don't really try to find guys who look like him.lol hope you understand. I just think you are great and want you to feel the love you deserve, cause you are the bomb and I already see you as a star and great musician. lots of love to you and good luck Tues night. hope you can handle my blunt truth.

So JD talks alot eh? And he is a drama "queen"? He sounds like some of my friends, who happen to be girls. Just kidding, picking fun at people is amusing if it's in good spirit.

But the cake fight thing, that looked like a lot of fun. It made me want to go make an enormous cake and jump in it. Alas, I did not. The last 3! Rock on Marty! Hey, you were the only one not in the bottom three the other day. How does that make you feel? Awesome yeah? Anyway, keep it up.

I'm not sure if you'll check back or not, but I wanted to let you know that you can buy the Lovehammers CD online at certain places. I'm a brand new fan, too, so I just discovered some very cool stuff - such as the fact that amazon.com has the Lovehammers' Murder on My Mind CD. You can also go to lovehammers.com and look at the merchandise (including CDs) that they have available there. So, no need to despair of ever finding the CD in Canada; go straight to the source!

Hey, I just wanted to say how much i've enjoyed listening to your performances the last few weeks. I wasnt really envolved in the show much until i heard you sing and now i cant wait for the nights that the show is on. I really think you deserve to win and im happy for you that you've stayed out of the bottom three for the past 2 weeks, although part of me was hoping you would be in the bottom just so i could hear you sing again, lol. I love your song trees, i think its amazing and your version of "trees" and "everlong" were wonderful as well. I was actually hoping to buy the lovehammers cd, but i dont think its available in Nova Scotia. I think you're really talented and an inspiration to all those that sing and as well to those like myself, that write but do not sing. I cant wait to hear what other songs you bring so much life and depth to =)

Hello there Marty, I decided to post here as there are only 21 comments. Makes it more likely you'll see it, doesn't it? It seemed logical to me. I am in LOVE with Trees. I've been singing it non stop since last night. I really hope you win. When they said you weren't in the bottom three I started screaming. I was sad to see Suzie go though. Canadian And female. Amazing. Anyway, I'm sure you're Very busy, so just letting you know... yep. I'm rooting for you! Can't wait for you to have a cd!

Marty, congratulations on everything you've done! You are amazing! I first got hooked on watching the show because of your wonderful voice, stage presence, and that crazy conductor thing! Your song Trees was stuck in my head for hours after you performed it; From hearing you create something like that, I know you are going places. You're super talented, and come across on the show as one of the sweetest guys ever. It really sucks that Jordis is gone from the show, but she's great and definately has a successful music career in her future.
So is JD excited this, that he made it to the top three?
Well yea, you've got fans EVERYWHERE, and people love you. So sing your heart out in the upcoming shows... but seriously worry about nothing because your fans have got your back!!! You rock times a million!
    Come to Seattle sometime okay!

YAY! Commenting is available again! ^_^

...God. The simple pleasures in life.

Anyways, as always I think you've done an incredible job. Im just commenting on this entry rather than the most reason because, well.. I didn't want to scroll down through 399 comments. >.>

I've DLed the songs you've done off of MSN and listen to them so often I think my neighbors know all the words by now. For as much as my opinion is worth, I believe you are an amazing, awe inspiring muscian. You've reminded me how I much I miss playing instruments and singing, and I can't thank you enough for that. Whether you are right for INXS or not (I'm on the "totally right for INXS" side) you are headed for wonderful things. I'll buy your music no matter what source or group it comes from.

Sorry for the long comment. ^_^

Marty - you are extremely talented! I have MSN video open in the background at work and have all your songs on the playlist and just restart you over and over. Are you right for INXS?- You are the only one who really knows the answer to that question and, of course, INXS. But regardless - you have FANS all over the world who will line up to see you perform. I miss the Marty that puts it all out there when he sings. INXS has made you change the way you sing for them - but your FANS, love the way you sing. You have the talent to bring INXS into the current music age instead of keeping them in 80's! GOOD LUCK! -- your friend - Jen

Awwww. Amazingly talented, huge stage presence, incredible versatility, creative genius, and still manages to be a sweet guy. You deserve every bit of the love and adoration you're getting from all of us fans, new and old. No matter what the outcome of the show, you'll be headed straight to the top. Don't let it change you one bit.

P.S. Love the passive-aggressive bit about J.D. And I'm sure that you don't have to be told that Jordis is destined for great things, too. Slightly different things, but great. I think she actually improved on John Lennon's Imagine and I feel very ashamed to admit that. (Ashamed in an "I'm sorry to blaspheme you, John, because you were awesome, but facts are facts" sort of way.) Anyway, rock on, Marty! We're all behind you, whatever direction you go. In a non-creepy, non-"I'll Be Watching You" sense. =)

AH! I want comment so much but I'm just so damn tired. Hrm. Ok well

    1) Holy way to break out into blog dramatics with random punks who don't know what their talking about while i'm away from a computer for a week. I came back and was like "...uhh...what the hell?....ok then." And then no one could post.

    2) Go awesome you the master of the stage with just the best performances ever. Honestly you are getting better every week and "Trees", well I knew that was good, but actually seeing you do it was in-freaking-credible; and then acoustic! Good choice in showing your range. Just wow.

    3) And the most important point: Your shirt was lovely. I very much liked it. Goes with your oh-so-pretty for-the-love-of-god-i-wish-my-boyfriend-would-grow-it-that-long-again hair :)

I probably have more ramblings but I've been taking of my three and a half month old niece for the past two weeks on top of school and sleep has been scarce. but you know what? even when she's screaming bloody murder because my sister isn't getting to us fast enough with her...self, i still love her. anyway, sleep! just happy to see people can ramble on to you again :)

Marty, I have to say that when you sang Creep tonight you brought tears to my eyes...AGAIN! Yes, I am an emotional listener...I love music for what it does to a soul even though I cant sing AT ALL!!!! Everyday I hear songs that have great lyrics but not so great voices and vice versa; but when the right person gets the right song, it moves me. You consistantly sing to our hearts and that is something that I have been waiting for in a new singer/band for a LONG time. It is my sincerest hope that you thrive in this industry because the art of combination, as it relates to lyrics and performance, seems to be lost these days. In addition, I normally do not participate in message boards, etc. but I just want you to know that you have got at least one fan here in Florida that is moved by your talent!!!Thank you for sharing your gift with us and keep writing those beautiful songs!!!

I have been an INXS follower for over twenty years, and although Mig, Suzie, and J.D. are very talented, I only see you in the final spot. Also, I wonder if you (or anyone else) could tell me where you got the sleeveless Levi guitar T-shirt that you're wearing on the fashion page of the Rockstar website. I have searched the web with no luck. Love to have it. Best of luck to you in all you do. You will go far.

Watching you guys do 'Us' was truly amazing. Loved it very much. It was sad to see Jordis go. Honestly, at this point, I really have no clue who will be going home next. From now on, it will be extremely difficult to see any of you leave. I really do hope that you win this whole thing, Marty, and I think you will. Good luck.
